Description:

Built in 1917, the Missouri State Capitol Building is the working space of both legislative arms of the Missouri state government. Rising from the Renaissance Revival, the building is a massive dome, reaching 238 feet above the ground. Within the building lies the Missouri State Museum, which stores more than 90,000 items related to the state's history, as well as a number of beautiful paintings and sculptured works scattered throughout the capitol. The building is located in the heart of the city, just beside the banks of the Missouri River.

Hours of Operation:

Tours run on the hour Mon. - Sat. 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Museum open daily, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
